Mom, Dad and me!

This was a big week in the Matthews' household. Tressa had her first portraits and her first needles. Both experiences were a little rocky. After a lot of crying we got some amazing pictures that I hope to be able to post as soon as I figure out how. There were a few screams at the doctor's office from Tressa while I covered my eyes, but she was a trooper. She has a bruise on each chubby thigh - her war wounds. She is almost 11 pounds now and getting more gorgeous every day!

Tressa is 7 weeks old and we wonder where the time has gone. She is getting so big she doesn't look like a newborn anymore! Sometimes I feel sad that she is growing so fast, but then she does something new like laugh or coo and we just go crazy!

First Mother's Day

Who has more hair??

Today Tressa's auntie buzzed her hair for cancer. She is a teacher at Oakpark school and participated in their fundraiser. Last year the school raised $9000 for Cancercare Manitoba and this year hopes to double that amount. Beckey herself collected donations and the students raised a pile of money to convince her to shave her head. It was tramatic for Tressa and I to watch, but we both think she looks pretty good. You're a brave girl Beckey...we're proud of you!

Here are a few updated pictures of our beautiful girl. She is 6 weeks old now and over 10 pounds. She is a very good baby at night, but has her moments during the day!

4 Weeks old!!!

Here are a few more pictures of our little girl. She is starting to come out of her shell so to speak so things are a little more lively around our place...especially around 4am!

Happy Easter

Tressa just had her first holiday and her first trip to Portage. It was a very busy weekend, with lots of visitors. She is changing so much already, we couldn't resist putting some new pictures up. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Meet our sweet girl...

She's fianlly here and we couldn't be more excited. All my mother's intuition pointed to a boy so Ryan and I were shocked when they said "it's a girl!" She is just lovely and has been a great baby so far. Tressa Quinn Matthews was born on March 29th at 9:53 am. She was 7lbs. 9 oz and 20 inches long. She came two weeks early which made mom very happy. Keep checking in for more pictures of our sweet girl.
