I'm Growing Up!
Here are some more pictures of our sweet girl. She is growing up so fast! She loves colouring, playing with her dolls and getting into my purse. She is a real little girl! Her favorite thing to do is to play outside. Manitoba weather will not deter her. On the day the rain turned to snow, she was out on the driveway pushing her stroller up and down the driveway!
Remember the beautiful weather?

Where has the time gone?
I have no excuse other than laziness, and computer problems for the lack of postings. But that also means we had a busy and exciting summer! We were outside all the time even though we did not have a typically beautiful Manitoba summer. July was filled with bike rides, trips to the park and the zoo, a weekend in Gimli, shopping and visits with friends. August was action packed! We had a Sherritt family gathering at Delta Beach and a relaxing vacation with our long, lost friends from Hong Kong in Whistler.
Sadly I am back at work and missing my time with Tressa, who is so happy to see her friends at daycare that I am lucky to get a wave as I drop her off!

I'm Back!
It has been forever since I have updated the blog but things have been crazy since I have been back to work. The transition has gone well for both of us. I am really enjoying being back in the adult world though I do miss my girl! She is in the most amazing daycare and she is happy to see all her friends each morning so that makes it easier.
I had a day off today and it made me very anxious for summer. Tressa and I went to the zoo, did a little shopping, and spent most of the day outside. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather!
Just chillin' after a busy day at the zoo.
Thanks for the bubbles Josephine!
You should see the other guy!

Happy Birthday
Tressa has undergone a lot of changes in the last few weeks! She now one year old, and has the birthday pictures to prove it!! She was a very luck girl and now has a lot of new toys to play with and a lot fo new clothes to wear.
Tressa is now in full time day care as I have headed back to work. It has been a bit of a transition for both of us but we are both adjusting just fine.
Last weekend, we headed to GF to see Obama and Hillary so I just had to add those pictures too!

Busy Baby
Hello Friends! Thanks to the Leap Year Tressa had her 11th month milestone. Can you believe it?! I just bought her her last, first bib for St. Patrick's Day. I went to get her an Easter one but she was around for Easter last year, it was her first trip to Portage and she was only 2 weeks old.
She will be 1 at the end of this month and I am still in disbelief! I can't believe that I have been home with her for a year!
Since our last update we have spent the weekend in Grand Forks to celebrate Grandma Sherritt's birthday. We had a lot of fun in the Waterpark, shopping and eating out. We spent the following weekend in Portage for Great Grandma and Grandpa Matthews' 65th wedding anniversary where Tressa met two of her cousins for the first time.
Since then we have been filling our days with soup group, walks, and lots of visits with friends and family.
Lovin' the pool and the lazy river with Mom and Aunt Nancy
Out for dinner on Grandma Liz' s birthday
Can you believe Tressa fell asleep on her walk!
I am sure there is some reason for these tears!

Happy Valentine's Day
January and February have been busy so far. Tressa had her first flu and was she sick! It was a learning experience for Ryan and I and we will be prepared when the next one hits. Once she got over the flu, it was followed by a cold which meant we had to miss a couple swimming classes. We are back in the swing of things now and it is a COLD adventure!
Tressa has taken her first steps. She was so proud of herself and Ryan and I were both there to witness. She took 5-6 steps a couple of times...very cute. My camera is back so there are a load of pictures here.
Don't be fooled, I can't use this cup.
I know how to wave!
Playing with one of my Christmas presents.
Reading is hard work!
Mom you have to watch me at all times!
Someone help, this walker is not legal!!

Happy 2008!
Well, we are two weeks into the new year and so far it has been great. Tressa is standing and we think she would like to take some steps but she isn't sure how. She started the New Year with a visit to the doctor and she is 20 pounds! I remember so clearly holding a 7 pound new born and I am not sure how we got here so quickly!
You'll notice that Tressa is still toothless, but it feels like she has been teething for months!
My maternity leave is coming to an end bringing mixed emotions. While I love my job, it is much more fun to spend all day with Tressa. We are going to make the most of the last few months and then eagerly await the summer. Happy New Year to all!!!
